You will leave Cambodia equipped with ethical decision-making tools, techniques for tackling ethical dilemmas, insights into your authentic leadership style and an experience you will never forget.
‘Taking the Road Less Travelled’ is a program for those seeking to enhance their capacity to provide authentic leadership in conflicting and complicated circumstances, where ethics are an issue.
Over 10 days you will work as part of a group building houses for an underprivileged society in Cambodia, working with a Non-Government Organisation (NGO), called Tabitha Cambodia, focused on alleviating poverty. During your stay you will develop your understanding of Cambodia’s recent history, including the Pol Pot era, and experience life in major centres and local communities. Visits to the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Torture Museum will confront you with what Cambodians have done to Cambodians, while Australia and the rest of the world stood by. Reflecting on the experience brings new clarity about values and what really matters.
